Skeets McWilliams was born in Jackson, Mississippi.  He was one of five guitarists from the United States to be invited to the Guitar World Exposition in France.  He has worked with the Ray Anthony Orchestra, radio station WGN and TV station WBKB in Chicago.  While in Chicago, Skeets played many clubs in the Loop.
