Artist Andrew Lark was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mississippi Valley State University. Lark works in oil and acrylic.
Lark taught at Starkville High School for 18 years and was awarded Mississippi Teacher of the Year in 2003. He was awarded Starkville School District Teacher of the Year in 2002. Lark was also given the Governor’s Award in Art Education in 2000 and named the 2015 Innovative Educator by the Starkville Foundation for Public Education.
His work is on permanent display in the Johnston Gallery at Mississippi Valley State University.
