Photographer (Diana) D.C. Young was born in Kentucky in 1948. She attended the University of Kentucky where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in photography. Young lived in Hattiesburg and Jackson, Mississippi. Young is married writer and artist Stephen Young of Jackson, Mississippi.
Young contributed photographs to the book, Ethnic Heritage in Mississippi, published by the University Press of Mississippi in 1992. Another book, Earl’s Art Shop: Building Art with Earl Simmons, features her photographers (University Press of Mississippi, 1995).
Young’s photographs have been displayed at the Alberta Art Museum, the Birmingham Museum of Art, the Mississippi Museum of Art, and others.
