Artist Don Jacobs was born in Brookhaven, Mississippi. For nearly ten years he lived in Europe, studying at an art school in Germany and obtaining a degree in graphic design. He worked as a graphic designer/commercial artist. He left his career as a graphic designer and began working as a faux finish artist.
In 2005, Jacobs painted a mural on the walls of the conference room in the Mississippi Governor’s mansion. Jacobs also painted murals at Wyolah Plantation in Natchez , the North Mississippi Fish Hatchery, and some private residences.
He produces an annual music festival in Brookhaven, called Brookstock. Jacobs is also a songwriter and musician with two albums of original music to his credit Jacobs currently lives in Jackson, Mississippi.
