Artist Elizabeth Price Johnson was born in Jackson, Mississippi, in 1932. Her early childhood years were spent in China where her parents were medical missionaries. She and her mother returned to Mississippi in 1941.
Johnson attended Agnes Scott College and Southwestern, graduating in 1954. She married Hugh Richard Johnson, Jr. in 1956, with whom she had two sons.
Johnson painted with watercolors and was a signature member of the National Watercolor Society. She was one of the founding members of the Mississippi Watercolor Society.
Johnson passed away in 2012.
