Illustrator for children’s books, art teacher, and painter from Clinton, Mississippi. He created the illustrations forĀ M is for Magnolia: A Mississippi Alphabet and 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi. He works with watercolors, acrylic, pencil, and collage.
Anderson graduated from Delta State University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts Education and a Master of Arts Education in 1976. He taught art education for 25 years throughout Mississippi. He taught at Coleman Junior High in Greenville, South Natchez High School, Copiah-Lincoln Junior College, University of Southern Mississippi, and in the Jackson Public School System.
Anderson was awarded Best in Show at the Meridian Museum of Art’s 43rd Annual Bi-State Art Competition in 2016.
