Artist Rolland GoldenĀ moved to Natchez, Mississippi, from Folsom, Louisiana, after Hurricane Katrina. He was born in 1931 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended John McCrady Art School, graduating in 1957.
Golden had a 2010 exhibit of 45 paintings at Mississippi Museum of Art entitled River and Reverie: Paintings of the Mississippi. His work is in private and public collections including in the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Pushkin Museum, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Much of his work focuses on life in Louisiana and Mississippi.
