Earheart grew up in Tullahoma, Tennessee and currently lives in Fulton, Mississippi. He plays the piano, accordian, and harp. He was an original member of the Rhythm Aces Band for 37 years. The group was nominated for a Grammy in 1975 and won a Grammy in 1976. He also played with The Bama Band for 22 years playing with Hank Williams, Jr. He has also played with BB King, Al Green, Kid Rock, Rufus Thomas, Wet Willie, Eddie Hinton, Tony Joe White, Waylon Jennings, Gate Mouth Brown, and others. He still tours with the Amazing Rhythm Aces.
