Bo (Armenter) Carter, also known as Bo Chatmon, was born in 1893 in Bolton, Mississippi. He recorded under the names Sam Chatmon, Bo Carter, and Charlie McCoy.
He played in the Chatmon family String Band and was an occasional member of The Mississippi Sheiks, a fiddle and guitar band that included brothers Lonnie and Sam and Walter Vinson.
Bo Carter recorded “Corrine Corrina” in 1928. He went blind in the 1930’s.
He died in 1964 in Memphis, Tennessee.
