Bucky Barrett: A Biography
Born in Canton, Mississippi, Bucky Barrett won a Grammy award with Roy Orbison. He has been nominated for the best studio guitarist for six years, having played for over 1,500 albums. He currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee, and recently appeared with Mendell Lowe, Skeets McWilliams, Bob Saxton, Lloyd Wells, and others in Jackson, Mississippi, donating his talents and time for the benefit of the Mississippi Music Hall of Fame.
His newest album Long Time Coming for Sphere Records contains ten new original songs written and performed by this legendary guitarist. Bucky Barrett heads up the creative production aspect of ARRA’s recording services (ARRA is a Nashville-based creative group designed to help recording artists and writers develop their ability to build a successful career in the music business. He has been the Composer/Musician for the feature films Malibu Express, Summer Affair, and the TV Documentary by PBS called The Mississippi River . In addition, he has been a musician for the feature film Hiding Out, the TV series Just for Luck and the Nashville USA TV series.
