Biography of Christ Ethridge
Chris Ethridge was born in Meridian, Mississippi, on February 10, 1947. He moved to Los Angeles, California, at the age of 17.
Ethridge was the bass player in the International Submarine Band (ISB) and co-founder of The Flying Burrito Brothers in 1968. He left the band in 1969, becoming a studio musician. He toured with Willie Nelson as the band’s bass player for 8 years. Ethridge also played with Linda Ronstadt, Randy Newman, Jackson Browner, and others.
Ethridge passed away on April 23, 2012 from complications due to pancreatic cancer.
