Harold Dorman was born in Drew, Mississippi in 1926. He was a rock & roll singer/songwriter who wrote a song called “Mountain of Love.” This single was recorded in 1960 on the Rita record label. It was a hit song, reaching N0. 7 on the R&B Singles Chart and No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Charley Pride, Johnny Rivers, Ronnie Dove, Bruce Springsteen, The Beach Boys, Tommy Cash, and Narvel Felts all recorded the song.
Dorman died in 1988.
