Biography
Born in Benoit, Mississippi in 1912, James Peck Curtis was a blues drummer who played in the studio band, “The King Biscuit Entertainers” for the King Biscuit Time in the 1940’s. Band members included Sonny Boy Williamson, Joe Willie Wilkins, Robert Traylor, Pinetop Perkins, and Robert Lockwood, Jr.
Curtis also played with The Blues Rhythm Boys and Houston Stackhouse and Friends.
Curtis died in Helena, Arkansas, in 1970.
