Biography of R.S. Field
Field is an accomplished songwriter and Grammy-nominated producer from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He moved to Austin, Texas, and played drums with the band Omar & The Howlers, but returned to Hattiesburg where he began playing with Webb Wilder.
He has produced records for many artists since 1986, including Webb Wilder, John Mayall, Billy Joe Shaver, and Sonny Landreth (co-producer)
In 2013, he produced Justin Townes Earle’s Midnight at the Movies, which earned a Best Album nomination at the Americana Music Awards.
