Biography of Charles Reagan Wilson
Born in 1948. He attended the University of Texas in El Paso where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. He earned his doctoral degree at the University of Texas in Austin.
He taught at the University of Wurzburg in Germany, and the University of Texas, El Paso, and Texas Tech University.
He taught at the University of Mississippi from 1981 to 2014. He was Kelly Gene Cook Sr. Chair of History and Professor of Southern Studies. He served as the Director of the Center for the Study of Southern Culture from 1998 to 2007.
He is professor emeritus of history and southern studies at University of Mississippi.
