Biography
Douglas Gray was born in 1948 in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in Laurel, Mississippi. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Mississippi in 1970. He earned a Master’s in English from the University of Virginia in 1971 and a Master’s in Latin from the University of Mississippi in 1974. He earned his PhD in English Literature from the University of Dallas in 1979.
He lived in Ohio in 1979, where he taught at Pontifical College Josephinum. Afterwards, he became and editor at Pearson Education from 1995 to 2002. He as a Senior Lecturer at Otterbein College in 1980 to 2009. He is Chair of Communication Department at Columbus State Community College in Ohio (2002 to present). He is Director of the Downtown Writers Network. He is a technical writer, event organizer, and college professor. He and his wife live in Clintonville, Ohio.
