Biography
Frances Gaither was born in 1889 in Sommerville, Tennessee. Her family moved to Corinth, Mississippi, shortly thereafter. She attended Mississippi State College for Women, graduating in 1909. She was an English teacher in Corinth before moving with her husband to New York, where she pursued her writing career. She died in 1955.
