Biography of James Robert Peery
Peery was born in Eupora, Mississippi, in 1900. His writing was published just before World War II.
He served as Associate Editor of The Webster Progress. After the war, he and his family moved to Jackson where he worked as a news editor for a Jackson radio station (WJDX). He also served as head of the Mississippi Bureau of United Press. He also wrote under the pen name of Carl Buchanan.
Peery married Sudie Leigh, who was a school teacher and then superintendent for education in Webster County.
Peery died in 1954 of thrombosis.
